The European Commission plans to introduce a single legislation on asylum throughout the EU, resulting in Germanic law on refugees, tightening in 1993, may be considerably weakened.
As a result, Germany may lose the right to deport alleged refugees directly from the transit zones of airports. The Commission also plans to limit time for consideration of asylum applications by six months with possibility of renewal proceedings another six months.
Persons seeking asylum should be granted the right to pass medical examination in any EU country to confirm its ability to participate in the proceedings.The right to remain in the EU countries should be given not only to spouses and children of refugees, but also their brothers and sisters. Finally, those who apply for refugee status, in matters of social assistance should be equated with the rights of nationals of EU countries on whose territory they wish to remainsya.
