On Saturday, August 27, 16-30 - 21-00, Moscow, "Tolko Sami" place (Shlomina, 6). As a part of the International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners
Historian and philosopher Pyotr Ryabov will tell you how and why Anarchist Black Cross groups arose in the world at the beginning of the 20th century and what they did. In the period 1930-1985, resistance continued in the USSR. People did not want to reconcile with authoritarianism. In the 1990s-2000s, along with the development of the anarchist movement in Russia, anti-repressive collectives arose and the ABC tradition was revived.
Activist Ivan Markov will talk about the history of the leftist movement in Crimea in 2009-2018, as well as the criminal case against anarchist Yevgeny Karakashev.
Traditionally, during the evening we will write letters to prisoners and free-form discussions over tea are planned.
Currently, we work on the recovery of libertarian and anarchist movement in Russia, after a long period of stagnation and repressions and we need your help to improve our site.
